Schools out today so why not work on some sewing skills with my 9 year old??? He did everything with minimal guidance, I am so impressed!

@cinnamondaisystudio’s Oh scrap! challenge was just the push I needed to use up some of the fabric from my stash. I had a lot of randomly sized pieces leftover from sewing camp. I was even able to use some green bias tape that has been hanging out in my sewing basket forever.

This poor little pup needed some repairs! The button nose wasn’t a traditional button, plus the fabric was quite worn so I had to be creative with my reattachment. I ended up tying some embroidery floss around the nose, securing it with hot glue, then threading the floss through what fabric was left. I put some more hot glue around the nose once it was in place, the stitched up some other spots with thread to match his fur and he was done!
